Where can the LED video wall be used?

A video screen can be used almost anywhere where a strong visual presence is required. This includes a wide range of events and applications that benefit from the brilliant resolution and flexibility of installation.

1. corporate events and conferences: At corporate events and conferences, it is crucial that your messages get across clearly to the participants. This is where the video wall is an unbeatable tool. Whether you want to show important presentations in 16:9 format or carry out live broadcasts, an LED screen ensures a brilliant display. The HD resolution ensures that your content is clear and legible even from a distance.

2. trade fairs and exhibitions: Trade fairs and exhibitions are places where attention means everything. A video wall with high light output and optimum image sharpness draws visitors’ attention to your stand and shows your products and services in the best light. Outdoor trade fairs in particular benefit from the robust design of LED walls, which offer excellent visibility even in direct sunlight.

3. sporting events and public viewing: The LED wall is ideal for sporting events and public viewings where large crowds often gather. Here, the high light output ensures that the quality of the image remains optimal even in changing light conditions. The 16:9 picture formats also offer an immersive experience that draws viewers right into the action.

4. concerts and festivals: At concerts and festivals, an LED wall is not just an additional visual component, but a central element of the stage design. It makes it possible to show artists, animations and live images in an impressive size and quality that inspires the audience. LED walls with a particularly high level of brightness are often used here too, guaranteeing outstanding quality even in daylight.

5. weddings and private parties: An LED wall can even create a special atmosphere at weddings and private parties. Whether it’s a slideshow of the bride and groom’s most beautiful moments or the live broadcast of a speech — the LED wall takes your event to a new level

What pixel pitches are available?

The pixel pitch is a decisive factor that determines the quality and recommended viewing distance of a video screen. A smaller pixel pitch means higher quality and is particularly important for events where the audience is close to the wall.

1. finer (1.2 mm to 2.9 mm): These are ideal for indoor installations where viewers are close to the video wall, such as conferences, presentations, trade fair construction or product launches. The low pixel pitch of 2.5 ensures razor-sharp images, even at HD resolutions. The high resolution allows even the smallest details to be displayed clearly, making this option the first choice for demanding visual presentations.

2. medium (3 mm to 6 mm): With a medium pixel pitch offer an excellent balance between image quality and cost. They are suitable for a variety of applications, both indoor and outdoor. This pixel pitch is often used at trade fairs, exhibitions and medium-sized events. The image quality is excellent even from greater distances, while the costs are lower compared to finer pixel pitches.

3. coarser (6 mm to 10 mm and larger): For large outdoor events where spectators are far away, such as concerts, festivals or sporting events, LED walls with a coarse pixel pitch are the best choice. These walls offer good image quality combined with high luminosity and are resistant to changing weather conditions. The larger pixel size is optimized for viewing from a distance and makes it possible to ensure a clear view of the action even over large areas.

Brightness: Particularly important for outdoor installations. High brightness is required here to maintain video quality even in direct sunlight. Indoor installations can manage with a lower brightness, as the lighting conditions are more controllable. Our LED walls offer variable brightness levels so that you always get the right video wall for hire.

16:9 format: The format is the standard for most modern screens and offers an optimal display of HD content. LED walls in this format are perfect for presentations, videos and live broadcasts and can be seamlessly integrated into various event setups.

Of course, LED walls can also be built in a completely different format, e.g. for a stage backdrop. There are hardly any limits here

Video wall rental and installation: Our LED walls are available for both short-term rental and long-term installations. We offer you a comprehensive service that ranges from planning and set-up to technical support during the event. Our experienced technicians will ensure that the LED wall is installed perfectly and that your event runs smoothly.

Resolution: The resolution is directly related to the pixel pitch. The smaller the pixel pitch, the higher the possible resolution and the finer and more detailed the image. For events where a particularly high image quality is required, we recommend LED walls with an HD resolution.

Frequently asked questions about LED wall rental in Berlin

What types of events is an LED wall or video wall suitable for?
LED walls are real all-rounders: whether for company celebrations, trade fair appearances, festivals, sporting events, weddings or product presentations — they always ensure maximum visibility and a professional appearance. Their strength comes into its own particularly in daylight or with large groups of spectators.

What is the difference between indoor and outdoor LED walls?
The main difference lies in the structure and brightness: outdoor LED walls are weatherproof (IP65), particularly bright and can withstand wind, sun and rain. Indoor models score points with higher resolution and finer pixel pitches — perfect for events with short viewing distances such as conferences or trade fair presentations.

How do I find the right pixel pitch for my event?
Quite simply, the closer the audience is to the wall, the smaller the pixel pitch should be.

  • <2 mm: ideal for short distances (e.g. exhibition stand)

  • 3–4 mm: perfect for medium-sized rooms and stages

  • 5 mm: for long distances at outdoor events

Is an LED wall also clearly visible in daylight?
Yes — unlike projectors, LED walls cope wonderfully with direct sunlight. With brightness levels of over 5,000 cd/m², your content remains brilliant and high-contrast even outdoors at midday.

Can I set up the technology myself (dry hire)?
Of course. If you have experience in setting up or would like to use your own specialist staff, you can also hire the technology from us without staff. For all other cases, we are of course happy to provide a full service: from planning and set-up to support during the event.

How quickly is delivery or collection possible?
In Berlin and the surrounding area, we often deliver within 24–48 hours — depending on availability and scope. If you’re in a particular hurry: just give us a call and we’ll see what’s possible.

Why is an LED wall worthwhile for your event?

An LED wall is more than just a screen — it is a stage, an eye-catcher and an ambassador all in one. Especially in a city like Berlin, where events take place on every corner, you need to stand out. LED walls help you to do this.

  • Picture quality that works: Sharp, bright, color-intensive — regardless of the ambient light

  • Modular and flexible: you determine the size, aspect ratio and design

  • For every format: whether video, animation, presentation or live stream

  • Can be combined with sound, lighting and stage: everything from a single source at PAM/events

Your advantages with PAM/events

  • Own technology fleet in Berlin

  • Many years of experience with LED technology

  • Individual advice for every event

Compact technology knowledge: mini-glossary for those interested

  • Pixel pitch: Distance between the LEDs. The smaller, the higher the resolution.

  • cd/m² (Nits): Unit of measurement for brightness. The higher, the better visible in light.

  • IP65: Protection class against water and dust — important for outdoor use.

  • Controller: Control unit that processes and outputs content on the wall.

  • Latency: Time delay between signal and image — a critical factor for live events.
